Hello!  I am delighted to join Maturity Matters after providing psychotherapy and clinical
social work at Michigan Medicine Turner Geriatric Clinic for over 30 years. I have
provided a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities over the years, but for the last 15
years, my focus has been on mindfulness-informed psychotherapies with self-
compassion.  I have provided several mindfulness-based group therapies as well,
including MBCT (mindfulness-based cognitive therapy), MB Forgiveness, MB Chronic
Pain Care, and MB Aging with Wisdom and Compassion.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be trained by Zindel Segal, the lead
author/founder of MBCT in 2008 and to receive an advanced training by his colleague
Susan Woods in 2012. I received my social work degree in MSW from the University of
Michigan School of Social Work in 1978.
