She/hers/hers

I feel fortunate that I found social work as a profession early on and have dedicated my career to working with older adults and their care partners. I received my social work degrees from Indiana University (BSW) and Boston University (MSW & Certificate in Gerontology). Throughout my career, I pursued training in evidence based psychotherapy modalities, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. For over 25 years, I have worked as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist in community and health care settings across the US and Germany, supporting older adults and care partners to navigate difficult transitions in life, including dealing with chronic illness, end of life care, dementia, changes in relationship or living situations, loss and grief. My focus has always been on each individual situation and circumstance, helping clients to identify and develop their own course of action to become more resilient. As a therapist I seek to offer a supportive and safe space for my clients to find ways to cope or change that are meaningful to them.
